William Harold Oldham
May 7, 1932 – September 18, 2015
Services for William “Harold” Oldham, 83, of Wells, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells.
Mr. Oldham was born May 7, 1932 in Trinity County, Texas, the son of the late Lena (Wagnon) and W. E. Oldham. He passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 in a local hospital.
Mr. Oldham was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army, Armored Division. He was also a 32nd Mason with Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M. He retired from Lufkin Industries and worked in utility maintenance. Mr. Oldham was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Jean Oldham of Wells; sons and daughters-in-law, William “Glenn” and Amanda Oldham of Nacogdoches, Harold “Kent” and Cindy Oldham of Wells, Kerry Hugh and Nancy Oldham of Pollok; daughter, Catherine Angers and husband, Angie of Kerrville; grandchildren, Randy Coe, Tracy Coe, Ashley Chandler, Susan Simmons, Traci Jones, Melanie Dittman, Beverly Oldham, Cassie Schroeder, Matthew Oldham, Chris Durrett, Angelia Conway and Kelly Snyder; 25 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Jean Eades.
Pallbearers will be Randy Coe, Matthew Oldham, Roger Schroeder, Jack Chandler and Dillon Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Masonic brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday
evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
